Beef Jalfrezi


Leftover meat from a roast is preferred from the night before. Dice/shred your meat.

2 teaspoons of fresh ginger

2 teaspoons of garlic paste

1 teaspoon of fresh chillies

1 teaspoon of turmeric

Generous pinch of rock salt

Chopped spring onions

1 large sliced and diced onion to start frying with the masala

olive oil

Diced fried potatoes with coriander to garnish

  • COOK 20 mins
  • READY IN 30 mins

Fry your onions until golden brown in olive oil or whatever oil you usually use, add ginger garlic fresh not a paste and crushed chillies into the mix. Whilst this is frying, dice some potatoes par boil/ or deep fry and add to the rest of the dish, and yes I would defiantly agree perfect complement would be dhal and rice. Add cooked shredded meat, stir fry for 10 mins, and add potatoes before serving to stay crisp.

Note:Add the above with a little warm water, to mix the masalas, remember fry dry!!
